Yellow and Black ... 2018

Post by VooDoo » Fri Mar 23, 2018 4:23 pm

Hope all the fellow Yellow and Black supporters have been savouring the PREMIERSHIP last year :a_goodjob:

Was a nervous first quarter last night but they came good in the end!! A typical pattern for the rest of the year as the rest of the competition will be gunning for us. Hope they keep up their fighting spirit from last year and be there in September then anything is possible.

For now, I am just sit back and enjoy the ride - hopefully we don't hit any pot holes or massive humps along the way to September.

GO TIGERS!!!!! :woohoo:

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Even when we went down by 5 goals I was still confident. Our fitness is unreal. Always seem to pull our best out in the 2nd half.

We were average, umpires were atrocious particularly fisher, Carlton were surprisingly quite good, Graham ragdolling Cripps in the centre in the 4th was a wet dream, Towner the dead eye, Caddy improved goal kicking, C.Ellis still doesn't impose himself enough offensively he just waits to apply pressure but needs to get more of it, Bolton did stuff all defensively which showed with their stupid quick movement out of our 50, 32 shots on goal and 4 rushed is positive, if they could bloody well kick straight, little to much stuffing around at times, that bull contact below the knees is still the biggest load of wank around all it does is make players stick their neck out ala Murphy and Conca, Dimma taking a thinly veiled swipe at the AFL and umpires RE 50m penalties in his presser.
4 points is 4 points but outside of B.Ellis, Astbury, Caddy, Conca, Rance, Grimes, Nank, Butler, George, Towner, Kmac, Riewodlt, Graham (13 tackles and 39 pressure acts!!) Cotch and Dusty in parts the rest need to lift next week

Had the great fortune to spend a recent weekend fishing and shooting near the Murray with two old Tigers premiership players. 3 & 4 flags each. Didn't catch a thing, but they had a few stories to tell.
