Re: East Gippsland - NSW 13/3/2018 -
Off the mark with a tiny, tiny bream.. went under my boat (tied up on shore) then around a snag. Managed to get it in eventually, it also had a 5'0 suicide with a chunk bait in it's gob (lol wtf) only 20cm
Then I almost lost a rod to this beast
Engulfed a massive spider crab lol, measured to 32cm.. dusk seems a good time for the breamys

Green Cape is worth the drive if you get bored of catching estuary fish.

Had to do a bit of a Google. Seems like a good LB spot for spot fish, right?DougieK wrote:Green Cape is worth the drive if you get bored of catching estuary fish.

It's just there incase wild dogs attack me (which is a big enough risk as it is I should really have a good hard look at myself)

I was there a few weeks ago, best time for bream was dusk and dawn I found. Prawns worked well with a light running ball sinker rig with a half hitched loop around the tail to keep it place

Had a bit of a flick this morning, managed an undersized dusky after a few casts and that was it. The wind was just a little too strong and in the wrong direct for where I wanted to drift. Pulled the pin on Tyres and making a move to Tamboon as we speak. Hopefully things are a little better there.
