Even with the accuracy of modern day forecast predictjng the future is never easy and doesn't always end up as expected.

From memory the forecast for Saturday was 8-10knts and it ended up being 15-20knts.

Saturday the 10th the forecast was even worse. Forecast 5-8knts ended up at 27knts with gusts up to 40knts.

Yeah it's probably best if I just give it a miss with my boat. Not worth the risk I guess.

Which leads me to my next question.

Where are the best fishing areas around there? Lol

Should get a good day in friday fishing.
Saturday is going to be sloppy and Sunday is going to be abysmal.

Thank God it's a westerly. Hopefully the Prom takes the full brunt of it and the chop isn't too bad.

If you pump bass yabbies at low tide and fish in the channel there's no need to go outside, plenty of whiting inside the port.

Wait what? You can pump yabbies that side of the prom and there is KGW in the cove?

OH **** YEAH!!

This place is magical, whiting, flathead, snapper, kingies and shark all within 5 mins by boat of each other.

In the port as in Welshpool, pump the yabbies at low tide on the beach opposite the ramp and time it so you start fishing as the tide comes in
100 meters up the channel towards the entrance from the boat ramp,

Not as much shelter as you would think.

The weekend is a long way of yet but a trip to Refuge might not be viable.

We are leaving early Friday morning, might be a case of just going the one night and coming back early Saturday...

Dunno yet hopefully it improves

They hardly ever get it perfect.
I think they get it correct only about once or twice a week
Not very good odds to predict your safety when far out from shore
