What boat will you be using?ChrisAbout wrote:Hey mate, keen to join but I'd suggest we take my boat instead. From what I can see you have a 2stroke which will be very expensive to run up to the self, back and trolling. Plus oil.
I'd be bring a deckie along too.

By mid March the Marlin are generally leaving or left Bermagui, it all depends on currents, but Easter tournament was always about the Yellowfin when I fished there.

I chose that time cos the last 3 years Nude up and tuna tube both catch and release multiple marlin.
I think from memory there record is like 6 in 1day.

I dont have the gear to tackle marlin and don't really plan to spend thousands on tiagras and **** ill use once in a lifetime
Are we planning on just having 1 rod out each and whatever rod gets hit is the lucky dude reeling it in?
I might have to borrow a rod/reel for the day off someone if they don't mind otherwise I'll have to bow out and just bottom bash on my lonesomeol

If trilling for marlin plan to use 4 to 5 rods and if live baiting go down to 2 or 3.

We always go around the new moon late feb early March we have done for the last 7 years, we have always caught marlin, in that time I have seen only 1 yellowfin tuna landed and it came from way out.Boxhead wrote:By mid March the Marlin are generally leaving or left Bermagui, it all depends on currents, but Easter tournament was always about the Yellowfin when I fished there.
