Corinella Land Based Fishing Help!!!

Post by TomHartmann » Thu Dec 14, 2017 11:56 pm

Hey everyone I am going away to Corinella over the Christmas break and badly want to fish there but I have no idea where to start, what are some good spots to fish, I will be land base fishing. Does anyone have any tips such as bait locations or times. Any tips would be very much appreciated,
Thank you

The corinella Pier has some decent squid in the early AM. Massive Stingrays frequent the area too and hear of sharks being caught off there.

A few flathead hang around under the pier and off the sides along the walkway, if you flick a plastic around you should find one.

The current is strong there along the channel and weed was a problem last time I was there.

Weed and current allows you only to fish a few hours during tide changes. Lots of toadies will destroy any baits within minutes. You ll have more chances spinning SPs and lures

The pier there is a good start. Caught many different species off there. Good luck :)

Thanks, just wondering how far across from the pier are the rocks?

A fair way other side of the barge landing.

You could always tack a short trip to Tenby point and fish of the beach. The beach all but disappears on high tide, There is an outside chance of a gummy there. Toadies can be a problem like everywhere around there.

Also take a trip past coronet bay to the beach at the end of soldiers rd, You can catch whiting off the beach there. High tide best
