my wife got me one back in July when BCF had them out on special.. very handy item to have, even more so when one fishers solo most of the time.

Must haves for kayakers as being separated from kayak is a big risk, especially in high tide flow areas.

Good price, I got the ACR PLB last year for deep bush trout trips (despite doing nowhere near the amount of trips I was hoping to do).

Anybody going out solo or duo should wear one in case you go overboard.
Personally all kayakers in our bays or along the coastline should be mandatorily made to wear them. The cost spread over the life of a unit is less than a cup of coffee once a month - How Much is Your Life Worth?
