What size jig head for a 2 inch GrubZ?

Hello, I am confused to what size jig head I need for a 2-inch Zman Grub? Can you also please tell me what I can catch on a 2-inch plastic? I am planning on going Rainbow Trout fishing in Albert Park Lake. I would also like to use the same plastic when I go fishing for bream as well if it is suitable. I have ordered a 4.3 cm jig head in 1/12oz and a 1/0 hook. I am wondering if this is suitable for a lake where there are trout, yellowbelly and carp lurking around as well? A reply would be greatly appreciated.

1/0 is big for a 2inch grub. you want a size 2. your choice in jighead weight is fine, a little lighter would be nice but then you wouldn't get the cast distance. the trout like it moving anyway so it's not a big deal. bream will take a 2 inch grub no worries as will all of the species available at albert park.

use a smaller hook size, like a size 1 or 2 not 1/0
and the weight id be going atleast 1/16th or 1/8th not lighter as you will struggle to cast that light jighead being new to the game.
lighter jigheads like that are best used with 4lb leaders and similar sized braided line to get some sort of distance with it.
