Our move from Sth Aust to Tassie was great sea change for us and we've never regretted it one bit..

Two weeks to sell is good, hopefully no need for bridging finance.

Now comes the painful part, deciding what to take and what to leave then packing it all up.

Best of luck with your new house.
Cheers,
Neil

One week to go!

This time next week we'll be in our new house.

We' seem to have been doing nothing else but packing for weeks. We knew it was serious though today when I packed all the rods and gear.

p.s. To securely pack the rods, specially the long sticks and surf rods, a visit to the local carpet warehouse was a great source of long, strong cardboard tubes. (all the rolls of carpet are wound on them). Just saw them to the length you need. Best of all, they're free.

Two additional things to add to your decision making process.
1...Review bush fire prone areas.
2...Review Flooding in areas you are looking at.

Good Luck in your search.

Aust. Post won't take them over (say) 1 metre,
But Startrack (owned by Aust Post) will, for about $3 more, picked up from home
I used pvc pipe

The big move is done and dusted. We've been here for almost five weeks now.

Sad to say, I'm still to wet a line yet.

There's a lot to do yet and we're deep into renovations but we're beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
One of the most frustrating things has been getting connected to the internet. It was supposed to happen on Dec.19th but was only done two days ago. Thanks (not) to Telstra and the NBN. They couldn't organise a **** up in a brewery.
:super:

By all accounts the fishing has been a bit quiet in this part of Gippy for the last month or so but with all the holiday makers mainly gone now it'll get better pretty soon.

Tight lines all.
