Re: Cruising....
Yes you are there are public moorings but are time limited, you can also go up the Yarra a fair way just governed by the height of the bridge at south bank. There are also some restaurants near JEFF shed that have moorings for diners.

Sure are, I went all the way up to Crown Casino about 2 months ago for a sticky beak. It's (the City) interesting from a different perspective and beautiful at night.
Just bear in mind it's a 5knot limit so can take a while there and back.

Yeah, from memory up to the west gate bridge is 10 knots and past there it's 5 knots as far as you can get. The bridge at Crown was too low for my boat. Might have been barred off too I think ??Froggie wrote:Cheers yota... Hahah 5knots will take hours to get in and out..
Again from memory I think it was about 35-40 minutes each way ?

Yep. Its a nice thing to do. We even pulled up to the resturant that faces the river at flinders st station and had a meal...you can watch over the boat from the restaurant. Then you can go upstream into burnley to see the big houses that have their own private jetties on the yarra.Froggie wrote:Hi guys, just wondering if we are allow to cruise into dockland waterfront through yarra river from warmies with your own boat?
