Drones for fishing and hobby - regulations, locations
My brother bought a drone and he is egging me to buy the swellpro splash drone for my fishing. After seeing a few videos of drone fishing, I am itching to burn $3000 for a full set of toy. The issue now is the S***load of regulations.
I know about the CASA rules. I know about the rules flying in populated areas. The biggest pain is the Parks Victoria regulation stating "Recreational use of RPAS by the general public is prohibited on Parks Victoria managed land." I searched http://parkweb.vic.gov.au for the required information but did not find what I need. Any chance anyone got info related to the following? Thanks in advance!
1. Full list of Park Victoria managed land and its boundaries. (Sometimes we go to the remotest area and see an old and lonely Parks Vic sign and begin to wonder where the red lines are).
2. Almost all piers and break walls have Park Victoria signs. How far from these structures can we safely fly the drone without breaking Park Victoria’s regulation? Can we fly a drone near the structures for as long as we don't step on them?
3. If I am sitting outside of Parks Vic managed land, can I fly the drone over the managed land?
4. The definition of "managed land" itself - if I fly a drone on a boat or a floating pontoon close to a managed "DRY" land, am I violating the parks Vic regulation?

There is an app that indicates where you can or cannot fly I would start there.

Thanks but that app is from CASA and does not cover Parks Victoria managed land. Based on that app i can fly drone in albert park but not according to parks vic.frozenpod wrote:There is an app that indicates where you can or cannot fly I would start there.
