I bet they will sell heaps.

Staying warm is an issue at this time of year, is always an issue. A good coat that blocks the wind and stops wind chill is critical.

Call me weak.
But ski pants and jackets for me in winter.
Don't need layers either. That's good enough to keep you warm and dry.
Generally they are wind and waterproof. And a pair of thermals inside is all you need.

Only thing lacking for me is some waterproof nonslip shoes.

Doesn't matter how much clothing you have on. You do an all nighter session from July - September and you will be numb. Those heated jackets are amazing. I'm not planning on getting one in a hurry. But would consider a camo Milwaukee jacket for deer hunting. Standing dead still in the middle of winter is damn cold.

In the past I've used zippo hand warmers which are great for those all night sessions keeping some feeling in your hands. Reminds me I should grab a couple more.

A bimini with clears all around helps heaps. Being able to hide out of the wind is nice on those cold mornings. Launched early sunday morning where everything was iced up, and with the clears keeping the wind away was toasty warm.

No such luxury for ducky and myself :(
the last bream comp i did was so cold i couldnt drive the boat, fingers were so numb i couldnt hold onto the steering wheel. was a similar story for many others there. gloves certainly help but i cant fish with bulky gloves on. and fingerless kind of defeats the purpose.
i did see those hand warmer things, what are they like ducky?
anyway only another few months to go hahahaha.

Chemical handwarmers ie hot pockets is what I have been using.

They help but are only of use with your hands in your pocket.
