Gday
Does anyone know what these are like to Eat, or even wether they can be eaten.
seem to catch a few here and there at mornington, they release rather poorly so though might as well keep them.
They are not listed on the fisheries App i have on the phone, so im assuming the 5 fish rule applies (for non listed species)

I saw this and they say small but tasty - I was also looking to find if they were any good to eat after micro jigging one in 35 meter of water - it didn't release well at all
must say they are a pretty fish

Re: Barber Perch
yeah very pretty, but even in 10-14m they didnt release well, very delicate indeed, so i thought might as well take it rather than leaving it to die anyway.
small fish never bothered my dad lol, he is happy to take home anything
