I looked up techniques with fishing poppers, they seem effective for slowly reeling. Did not ser any people saying to leave it in the water.

I am thinking of using poppers on both hooks on the patternoster and then after an hour, change over to bait. I will try this pattern and see how it goes
surf poppers and POPPERS are two different things.
what did you end up buying and using
Do I need to use surface poppers
Yes, best to get a couple of these and tie them to the droppers on your paternoster rig: http://www.rayannes.com.au/online-store ... po-170-69/

I'm getting a headache :( cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Absolutely. Fish respond well to expensive lures so make sure you leave the price tags on them for the fish to check out.

Im sure your catch rate will increase by 5 or 10% with the use of lures over $100 lol
If you cant catch salmon with bait or surf poppers or salmon metal lures your chances are low buy changing to expensive lures amd probably is a waist of money
