Ok. Buy a packed from.bcf and then a 2kg bag rock salt from safeways and poor half of the salt in to the pilchard amd dry them out more.

There is also a special fine mesh that dissolves in water after you cast,i have been made to believe the fish are fine with this.I have always wanted to to try it myself ,but i don't have the problem of bait falling when casting yet. It's not a good feeling knowing or not knowing if your bait i half mangled when cast at high speed and it hits the water.

The ones I get aren’t really dried out and stay on the hook just fine. The mesh that i am talking about is a sort of see though material that you wrap around your bait,before you cast out.I helps the bait stay on your hook.
