So many boats out!
I went for a walk down around Williamstown this afternoon and i could not believe how many boats were out. There would have easily been 50 boats in the 2 or so kilometre section between Willy beach and Point Gellibrand. And the boats at Point Gellibrand would have been within casting distance of the rock wall. They were almost parked on top of each other.
I took this, looking back towards Willy beach from the football oval. But most of the boats were back the other way.

The only thing better than serenity is a two stroke at full throttle!

Was busy on WesternPort this weekend. Saw a boat on the road at the Rhyll turnoff.

Re: So many boats out!
That would have been extremely frustrating!!
Boat didnt start?
The Good weather got the better of me and i decided id give the boat a run.
plague of micro pinkies and some red mullet came onboard.
there were so many boats out it was madness.
no salmon was to be fund, but some kayakers at the ramp had some medium sized ones in their bag, so the fish were around there somewhere.

Same at St Leonards. Boats everywhere.
I guess a combination of perfect weather, good whiting reports from the last few days and a lot of people with an itch they haven't been able to scratch for the last 6 weeks meant it was inevitably going to be busy.

Re: So many boats out!
Queenscliff - I got there before 6am yesterday after almost a 2 hour drive to get there and there was less than 10 boats out.
Came back to the ramp bedlam at 3 pm.
Wait in line on the water to dock.
Wait in the line behind about 12 others with the trailer to retrieve.
I was solo for the day to.
Luck had it I retrieved and drove straight into an empty was down bay. Winning.
Everyone was patient and friendly which made it all so easy.

Re: So many boats out!
damn!! thats a whole bunch of headaches.
did you bend the actual axle or did the u bolts just move along the chasis
i emptied my fuel into the car halfway into the lockdown, i just figured it was silly leaving it in the boat and going stale.
and yeah charge your batteries next time its been sitting like that for a while.
hope you can get all the stuff sorted out soon.

Re: So many boats out!
I joined the masses on Sunday...boat started 1st turn and ran like a watch all day. Drifted for flathead using flasher rigs with squid off Altona, Black Rock & StKilda (6mts off StKilda produced the most). Lots of birds diving around Sandringham up to Green Point but could find any salmon.
Was great just burning off the cobwebs!
