Strong West south westerly wind help

Post by Darkhorse » Thu Jul 19, 2018 12:43 pm

Gday all,
Needing a fishing fix and tomorrow (Friday) is the only day I can get out. With strong west south westerly winds forecasted (35kmh-50kmh) . Seas are forecasted 2-3m. Now I'm sort of new to surf fishing, where are good locations to go for a fish along the surf coast with these types of winds. Or should I give it a miss? Was looking at going anywhere from St Leonards to Lorne.

Thanks in advance

Give the surf a miss mate. Maybe try Barwon heads or hit up a pier if your brave enough to beat the cold wind.

If I was forced at gunpoint to go fishing tomorrow i'd go to Portarlington, if the wind's s/w it'll be offshore.
