Aldi Braided Line?

Post by fishing_minnow » Sun Oct 22, 2017 4:21 pm

Hi, I was looking through an Aldi catalogue today and I found some fishing gear on special. I really need to get some braided line for trout fishing as I need to cast a really light lure. I was wondering if they are any good and if someone has tried them before? They are $10 for a spool of 8lb braid. If it can cast light lures and does not break too much under the breaking strain, I'm happy with it. What are your thoughts??? :water:

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

For cheap braid it's ok.
I only really use to use it for bait fishing

Most aldi gear iver ever used is crap. Hooks bend, mono snaps. I dont use braid. But as the saying goes you get what you pay for.
I wouldnt whinge if my line snapped and i lost a fish if i paid bugger all for it

Yep used it spinning for Sambos off Seaspray & Gunners Beach with great results.
Has worked better for me than some of the more expensive named brands. Sure it's not the best but it's really good value for money (Having said that, they could always get a dud batch from China :P )
