Tea Tree snapper comp 2015

Well my entry has showed up , I had been watching the web but had not seen it come up

anyway it's on Friday the 30th and Saturday the 31st of October
looks like it's run the same as every other year with $ 140,000 worth of prizes

I'll be doing it again this year on the skinny piece of tupperware , more than likely in Westernport - no doubt Mal my kayaking mate will to , the bugger gets a prize every year

Inb4 it's a murder fest blah blah blah.

I'm in again. Taken from Wednesday off to do the bait collection / pre fish trying to work out where they are as it'll be my first session in wpb I reckon.

I'm thinking of giving wpb a crack this year too, as the fish we catch in ppb all tend to be 4-5kg. Which are awesome fun to catch but aren't going to win.

Well I've just entered my first comp! Now advice please I don't own a salt water fishing vessel can you tag along with a group? Naturally chip in for expenses etc or are there charter boats operating on the day? Any advice appreciated

Winner Open Section

Heaviest – John Close from Boronia. (12.7 kg)

New Victorian Snapper Champion.

Second Heaviest – Theo Hatzis from Pakenham. (10.23 kg)

Third Heaviest – Norman Kemp from Cranbourne North. (10.11 kg)



Winner Juniors Section

Heaviest Fish Junior – Natalie Bills (9.51 kg)

Second Heaviest – Jai Evans (7.34 kg)

Third Heaviest – Skye Lutwyche (6.68 kg)

First Random Capture Prize – The major prize from JV Marine World is a Quintrex 4.3 metre FishAbout with a Quintrex trailer, fitted with a 40hp 4 stroke Suzuki outboard with power tilt and trim. The boat comes complete with Lowrance sounder, Ace All Covers canopy, navigation lights, safety gear and Victorian registration and 12 month comprehensive insurance from Club Marine

WP is commercial netting free & the majority of the Snapper come from there!!

Do more rec fish PPP then wp on any given week.
No idea where yo get that stat.
