It's not the best photo, so I'm happy to chop some cm's off if the judges deem it necessary.

It's also the first - and probably last - aussie salmon I've brought home and tried to cook too. Now I'm burning every piece of incense and scented candle I can find, frantically trying to deodorize the house before the mrs gets home and freaks out about the smell.

Did you bleed and gut it immediately the. Cut out all the bloodline before eating it the same day?

If not have another go following that. Trust me.

I didn't gut it .... when I caught it I immediately cut it's throat and stuck it head down in the sand .... then I filleted and cooked it within about three hours. Maybe next time I'll clean it properly on the beach.

Did you cut out all the red meat from the fillets?

Tiny squid from the other day. The bloke beside me moved his float off as it had come into my area. It had this attached. Absolute monster. Shattered I missed it.

Also had a minor mishap with the eucalyptus oil cleaning off last years code word haha.
