Nice work dude, all look solid to me. Awesome fishing! There are a lot on here that could learn a lot from you in regards to jewies (myself included)ColonelFisher wrote:Just didn't want to be accused of trying to steal an extra few cms!4liters wrote:No worries, I just zoomed in on the pic and I'm not sure why you didn't claim 60cm to begin with. I'd almost say 61cm even.
They can be pretty elusive, took a while to finally get lucky! It's sure taken a lot longer to catch those fish than upload these pictures, just forget to upload them and its easier to do a bunch at once when i remember!

Re: Species Competition 15/16
nice fishing colonel! i don't see any problem with any of those measurements.
roach 24cm. little bugger hit the fly no less than seven times without hooking up and me using the missed strikes as my backcast to let him have it again. So satisfying to feel weight on the 8th strike. much more fun than watching a float for a few hours.
also managed a 59cm carp earlier in the day. after spooking many more with my inept casting i hid behind a dead shrub and just reached out and dropped the wooly bugger on his head. first decent fish on fly and a cracking fight. first run was straight to deep water and the second was parallel to the bank.

I hear you mate. I was even going to get a mate to take the action photo of it before I did the brag mat stuff in the shallows. Ah well. Live and learn.Snapper Snatcher wrote:That's a great bass, at least you landed it but it sucks you didn't get a pic of it, I recently lost a fiddy which I'm glad I saw before the hooks pulled because i thought it was a big trout haha.
