Man it feels good to break the donut streak. I hooked something in the face a vibe layer in the morning. Thought it was a big flatty but the lure came back with some weird looking scales. No idea what it was

If you were at the Gun it could have been a pike. I find them and couta have this really distinct triple kick then deadweight then triplekick way to fight.

Spewing that we didn't get a picture of the scales but it had a three or four ridges running lengthways from halfway down the scale. Inverloch.

Tail scale of a yakka or cowanyoung? They'll take lures and have ridges.

Nice work Doug, even the mid 40s we were catching felt massive, shows how long it's been. Still can't believe how much I took gunnamatta fishing for granted in 2014. I haven't checked the weather yet but would anyone be up for a session down there tomorrow night?
