Whiting Hooks

Post by yepi'mon » Fri Dec 29, 2017 10:17 am

Interested to hear what type and size hooks other fishos are using for their whiting.

I tried out some Gamakatsu shiners size 6 which were recommended but didn’t think we got a a great hook up rate.

I’m thinking of going back to long shank style but all the ones I’ve used in the past bend and break when trying to free them from the mouths of flathead and toadies and it becomes a pain attaching new hooks all the time. Any recommendations here?

Cheers

I meant how does Snelling the hook help with hook ups as opposed to a standard uni knot or similar?
