Re: Cornacarpio's Cumulative Carp Culling Caper

The high-octane 'summer' of Carp continues! 75cms of bottom-dwelling fury! A relatively long and skinny model that took the bait within 5 minutes of setting-up! Trying new spots has really paid off for me so far this season (all legitimately within 5km too). I lost an absolute horse of a fish while ...

Re: Cornacarpio's Cumulative Carp Culling Caper

Got one down at the creek today after a trying few days. Not the biggest (although a very respectable 69.9 cms), but it did put up a decent enough fight, going on a massive run and making a sizeable dent in the line on my spool at one stage. Should have got at least 2, but one took off with my hook ...

Re: Your Footy Team's List Assessment

Bachar Houli (ex bombers - damn) underrated & should have won a Norm Smith medal. Gra Reckon he needed another goal in the second half to seal the deal in 2017, as such he left it open for a 'big name' player to pinch it, which is ultimately what happened. Regardless, he still played well in 2017.

Re: Cornacarpio's Cumulative Carp Culling Caper

Took my bike in for a service on Friday and I still haven't gotten it back yet! Yesterday the weather was a bit crap, but today was primo fishing weather! Not wanting to catch PT, but wanting to catch a fish, and willing to go for a short stroll, I did what I haven't done for a long time - fish the ...

Re: Cornacarpio's Cumulative Carp Culling Caper

Got these two out of my local last weekend - a 75cm Carp and a smaller mirror. Finally got to make use of my 'oversized' 10ft telescopic rod, which is exactly why I got it - to give myself a little bit more control when tackling the big berthas. Time to start stacking the odds in my favour and not t...

Re: Cornacarpio's Cumulative Carp Culling Caper

14th December 2020: Finally broke my 'hoo-doo' down at the Mullum Mullum Creek . Previous to tonight's attempt I was about 0/5 from this little east-metro suburban tributary. But tonight the curse was lifted. Found a nice little hole full of Carp. As is often the case with fishing in such small wat...
