Tried it out yesterday at Docklands. One of the tips actually goes all the way into the mid section and it kept falling off. One time it flew into the water when I cast, lucky I got it back. Thanks guys. Doc said there's no redness and no sign of infection so it should be fine. This Victoria government health site says that Vic bats can have rabies too but pretty low risk and all the deaths (3) since 1996 have all been in Queensland. Still have no idea how it got itself caught... guess...

I was there at sunset till 9. Saw a few good flatties and heaps of undersize pinkies, and got a few calamari but it was pretty slow. Also caught the weirdest living thing in my life, a baby bat. He somehow got tangled up in my line. I thought it was just weed until he gave me a bit of a nibble. rps...

I didn't know you got those kinds of bats around port phillip, the only bats I ever see are flying foxes which are around heaps during summer nights near my house. On a serious note though Boonanza is right, bats can carry ABLV which is an very serious disease and has killed people in Australia, If ...

I've seen some videos where people have attached the mount to the top of a heavy burley cage. That way the camera is right where the fish are and the greater weight of the cage means the image is nice and stable.
