Restoring the ego
Well over the last 2 years, I haven't landed a single bluefin. With the weather forecast being strong wind warning so decided to hit the bay and give it a shot, trolled a couple of lures and scored a double hook up on some salmon, but alas, lost one, landed the other. Turned to squid and managed hoo...

Re: Asking for Clarity within the Forum
I noticed a post but unfortunately missed the boat on replying to it, as that post seems to have disappeared. The above cryptic blank quotes should be enough for Admin and/or those concerned to know which post is being referenced. The comments in that post are irrelevant to this thread and I shall ...

Re: Protecting our GPS Marks and Fishing Spots from others
This is an awkward issue. Nobody owns the ocean or what is under the water. Even fishing from piers or the rocks, some fishermen get really upset if anyone is fishing in what they consider is their spot. Even though it is a public space. Generally speaking, most places like reefs and wrecks are publ...

Re: Logo alteration/update
Both logo's look like crap. Don't waste your time, I would concentrate on learning to spell. Whilst good spelling is nice, there are some products, that are successful and they are misspelt. Who knows this young fella might be the next Rex Hunt or so on. There are two ways of doing this; 1) follow ...

Re: Protecting our GPS Marks and Fishing Spots from others
In regards to fishing spots, even two exact same rods rigs baits etc next to each other at the same can have different results. That's when angling skills come in play on how to catch more than the others. The bay isn't expanding or shrinking, good chance that good spots are also known by other peo...

Re: Diver killed by speeding boat
Sad outcome. But dont always blame the boat guy straight away. Many a time I have seen divers without flags . And even with flags they can be hard to see. Add some choppy conditions and it's a suicidal mission for the divers. Not to mention snorkelers that shouldn't be in areas where there's high b...

Frustrating
Safety is extremely important for anglers and boaters and kayakers and divers/snorklers. It is frustrating trying to chase up details about what contributed to a persons injury/accident/death whilst engaging in activity on the water. The Coroner does publish it's findings, usually months or years af...

Re: RWD Towing big boats?
Perhaps the first question should have been. What is your tow ball weight?
If it too light then not enough pressure is being applied to the tow ball and hence the rear wheels.

Re: RWD Towing big boats?
Thanks for all the replies, I never though about tow ball weight, as I was told you just want to have an evenly balanced boat, not have a lot of weight on the front of the trailer. Thanks for the help and others' experiences with such vehicles/boats, I'll keep this in mind when I am looking for tha...

You don't know what you don't know
Fishing, and it doesn't matter what type of fishing, is mostly a matter of trial and error unless you are fortunate to have a mentor who is willing to teach you what they know. Lately, on the Tuna, I have not been having much luck. One error I made on reflection was at Cape Bridgewater we sounded a ...
