Lakes Entrance report
I went out for a fish this morning, my first time out for quiet a while. I went offshore form Lake Entrance, it seems every one else had the same idea today judging from the car park, I had to launch at Marine Parade rather than the skate park like I normally do. I had a crack around the general are...

Re: Replacing trailer hub
Looks like you got the wrong hub, it looks shorter than the one you are replacing. Have you still got the old one? I always take the parts I am replacing with me when I go to buy new ones and do a quick compare, saves much hassle.

Re: KGW Gippsland Lakes
Fished from Paynesville today in the areas of Point Jones and Carstairs Bank. I was trying for KG whiting using squid & Mussels for bait. I did not get a bite, with all the freshwater coming down the rivers the water is very brown at the moment, probably it needs to clear up a bit before the whiting...

Lakes Entrance report
Not many report on the forum lately so here is one. I headed out from Lakes this morning, the swell was forecast to be 1.5 meters dropping to 1 m later but is sure seemed bigger than that. I had to grind my way slowly to my fishing spot to avoid the bone jarring ride that comes with a tinny. I heade...

Re: stick fish, snag fish, invisible fish
I stuffed an approx. $250 travel rod, it was 4 piece and had bits of solid rod used to join hollow sections together. A a couple of these worked loose so I decided to fix them in place with super glue, Oops! the glue set with the joiners in the wrong spot and so the rod is now an un-joinable two pie...

Re: KGW Gippsland Lakes
I was out there this morning, it was a hot bite for sure, I used mussel, pippies & squid for bait, I fished out the back of Flanagan's island in 1.8m, I stopped at 16, I could have easily bagged out. When I left I gave my bait to another boat that had just arrived, hopefully they get a few. Chgeers ...

Re: KGW Gippsland Lakes
They were on a mission to get caught this morning for sure, I had my first one after about 30 sec, I had not even had time to get my second line in, I bagged out in about 90 mins and left them biting.

Re: KGW Gippsland Lakes
I also had a fish this morning, I drove to Lakes and launched there, the skate park boat ramp is still closed, how long does it take to rebuild a ramp? This has been going on since before Xmas, maybe it would have been better to fix it during winter rather than during the peak holiday period. After ...

Finally made it down to Lakes.
Hi all. I finally got down to Lakes, I fished offshore a few K's west of the entrance, there were plenty of boats about so I figured they must be catching something, and this was the area where I bagged out on gummies last time I made it out so I felt pretty optimistic. Anyway, I caught plenty of th...

Lakes offshore yesterday.
Hi everyone. I went out from Lakes yesterday, it was glassy calm, I was able to tilt back the motor and let it rip for once without jarring out my fillings. I fished the offshore reefs, there were plenty of pinkies about ranging from undersize to around 37 cm. I kept a few for a feed, and also one o...
