Re: Crabbing at Lake Entrance
Can't go past Reeve Landing Jetty on Bullock Island for land based Sand Crabs. People come from all over the world to stand shoulder to shoulder on that jetty and haul in tonnes of crabs. They come in through the entrance during the flood tide and best time to catch them is an hour or two after high...

Re: Robe to Salt Creek
FWIW. It's definitely doable if the conditions are right. I dropped my tyres to ~10psi all round to get up the big dune after at Ti Tree Crossing and once on the beach looked for a suitable spot to base camp. Definitely worth the effort to drag the camper in on that occasion. https://thflya.sn.files...

Re: Robe to Salt Creek
What were you towing that with? I had a Mitsubishi Challenger at the time. I failed on the first attempt, but with the rear diff lock and some maxtrax on a bit of a jump up we managed to get to the top. Once on the beach we were looking for the closest camp site, I didn't want to risk getting stuck...

Re: Robe to Salt Creek
Not sure about the Road House. As for firewood, you will be in the Coorong National Park, so you have to bring your own.. Wood fires and solid fuel fires are prohibited throughout the year with the exceptions of Ocean Beach foreshores and 42 Mile Crossing Campground. Ocean beach foreshores: wood fir...

Re: What would you do to become debt free?
Some interesting stories on here. I am currently loaded up in debt having moved from Melbourne's inner suburbs to Lakes Entrance ~18 months ago. My wife & I bought a little holiday accommodation business in Lakes Entrance and since it is "specialised" property we could only borrow 60% of the value a...
