I find the Mussell Farm hit and miss, but I've done well heading out about 4k's in front of the Morno pier in about 21metres.

At least you got some and not a donut. Coronet bay seems steady producing whiting. St Leonards too and Werribee. I guess anywhere with weed bed sand holes can produce whiting. Burley is essential. I use gotcha burley pellets. Makes a big difference. Haven't had a donut day in the kayak yet! Good on...
