Re: Caught out as river rises..

This isn't a danger I'd ever associated with fishing before. Being a pretty weak swimmer I would've been very, very nervous if I were in your position.

Re: Clean up your ****

I've started bringing a garbage bag with me to clean up after other fishos, I hate seeing empty bait packets and clumps of bird-nested line scattered along a riverbank.

Re: Albert Park short session under the moon

Always on the motor oil grubs Sebb, I like it.

And those city lights are something special when fishing at night. I love them as much as I love being out on a secluded riverbank somewhere.

Re: 500th trout on the last day of the season.

Docklands 14/06/21

Went fishing with a couple of mates down at Docklands from about 1:45pm to 5:30pm. Basically started on the low tide and fished the run-in until dark. Water was very brown, no visibility to speak of. There wasn't a whisper of wind either, some of the calmest conditions I've fished in for a while. In...

Re: Any tips for cherry lake?

Unweighted bread is also a good one, if you roll it into a ball you can still get a bit of distance on your cast. Unweighted worms are killer as already mentioned.

Re: Is this forum still active?

It's a bit slow but there's some good people floating around on here who have plenty of knowledge. Beats wading through the crap you get on some of the Facebook groups.
