Inverloch Jetty- 05/05/2019

Spotted a gap in the weather on Sunday morning so decided to make haste to Inverloch Jetty for sun-up and the turn of the bottom of the tide at 6am. Armed with Pillies, Pippies, and a small amount of squid, I pretty quick found that the pippies were flavour of the morning. Squid barely got touched (...

Is the pier finished?
I walked past the Kerford Rd Pier two weeks ago and to me it looked like they had another six months of work still to do.... It looked like they still had half the pier to re-plank(?) .

Can anyone tell me why you bleed so much after getting jabbed by a flathead?
Never been spiked myself, but had heard you'll get some relief by having somebody pee on it ( the puncture wound , not the fish) . ...and everyone knows you don't go wasting decent alcohol on a flesh wound.

Webb Dock - 15/6 PM

Earlier on Saturday morning I took a beach walk past Princes Pier and further along to Webb Dock. The spot looked to have some promise even though the few fishos I stopped to chat with were all pulling donuts. With the missus working late that night I thought I could spare a few hours at sundown to ...

Re: Ideal Sinker Weight - Landbased Bottom Saltwater

In my experience there is no 'one size fits all' solution... some days I will juggle a few different weights till I find what works for the location, tide, wind, and swell/conditions. My rule of thumb(s)... 1. Avoid using star sinkers where the sub-surface terrain is rocky/snaggy 2. Avoid using ball...
