Re: Barwon Heads Snapper Gummy School shark
The school sharks taste close to the same as gummy in my opinion. I launch out of Ocean Grove and more time than not try to find a drop off straight out past the bluff in 25m - 30m of water and anchor up over top. Chimney rock reef is a great starting point I find and any drop off around it has been...

You have been fairly consistently fishing lately so your drought is gonna come to an end soon I think :) Years ago I remember donuting like 10 sessions in a row and remember being so frustrated and sick of fishing but then my next session afte...

Re: Sorrento Pier 22/06/2019
Continuing the donut trend - spent about 3-4 hours on the pier today lol. Fished from about 2PM-6PM with a break between because the tide/current was running hard. In regards to the running tide, try an extra 'chin' sinker attachment on the jig; it works well as at Portsea and Sorrento when the tid...

Just saw this come up on another forum. We don't have anywhere near the amount of money involved in fishing comps compared to the US but there's always still the odd rumour floating around about people tethering cod or whatever. I wonder how much of it really goes on. https://sdfish.com/general/dark...

Re: Gillies squid jigs
I agree with Aaron, when the squid are on i reckon you could catch them with bottle caps. The squid dont care how much you paid for them. I cant even remember what all my jigs are or what they cost, i just choose a colour and give it a try. If i dont get a hit after about 15 casts i try another colo...

Re: In case you havent heard yet
I am out, This kind of thread is why forums such as this Fishing VIc suffer I believe. I understand that I have not been a huge contributor over the time I have been a member but have enjoyed posting reports about my journeys catching our native fish here in country vic. But this tread is too much ...
