So, from what I can make out on this, you'll be looking at around 20k boat and there trailer, plus motor, say 10 ish. ???? I think there are better options out there rather than sinking 30k into this set up, personally.... I like the plastic fantastics, but for 30K, you could get a seriously rebuil...

I really need to get my reels ready. I’m getting a snapper this year no matter what!! A few of you mentioned using wd40 to spray your reel down. What grease does everyone use? Quicksilver/Mercury Marine 2-4-C for main gearing, Inox MX6 squeeze tube for worm drives/oscillation gears and drag washers...

Hi Matt, From my experience, WD40 can hold grit and grime especially reels used on the beach, so I'm careful that the reel is well and truly rinsed before spraying any additives... Lanox is good stuff, multitude of uses.... Generally, most reels are reasonably water proof now, spraying the outsides ...
