It definitely was not a snag because my bell was ringing like crazy, after just letting the reel relax the line went loose again and my bait was gone

I am not feeling confident with using the chicken, it does not have the same strong smell like the squid. I had no bites when I tried at Balcombe Creek Beach, I tried the berley bucket but did not help.

I will definitely use burley, so the breadcrumbs with water would not be as effective as the pellets?Wolly Bugger wrote:Mullet respond very well, to the stimulate burley and there is a paste you can put on your hook.

I was honestly asking as the fishing book calls it "Yellow Eyed Mullet" I will stop asking questions here if it is just angering people, it is just hard to ask tackle stores as I like getting to the spots early to familiarise mysel...

I will be asking questions every now and then on this forum to help me along the way as I go through my list of fish to catch! My next one is Yellow Eyed Mullet, any advice? I am thinking of using Chicken as bait, I will be trying Balcome Creek Beach Have you considered aiming lower than a mullet.....
