The guy I fished with at Port Albert last year made the trip out there once apparently, even if you don't find the kings it sounds like it's pretty good for flathead if you drift around.

Great report and if you want a successful landbased session try out Webb dock early in the morning with a howling southerly wind in overcast weather that's were you can catch solid pinkie snapper and as we now pinkies are delicious and we all try to target them at some time of our experience as lan...

Can confirm it wasn't me, give it time though... It's a frequent topic on VYak, idiots who buy an el cheapo ebay yak for a couple of hundred dollars, usually a poorly designed hull that is slow and unstable. Because they see it as a cheap alternative to a boat they don't go and spend the extra money...

A slab for a spot like that is a a bargain. I'd happily give up 3 or 4 slabs for a secret mixed bag spot in WPB that isn't too far from a place to launch the yak.

It's a very good land based squiding spot heaps of squid all around it, you will be able to catch almost everything there, i reckon its gonna be one of the best fishing spots in the bay, just by the way it's shaped, where it's located and what it's made off, it's gonna be a land based fishing hevea...

Looks like you have access to some fairly deep water all along it once you get past the second bend.
