That comes with time. There's a lot of useful stuff online -- just Google strings like 'finding gutters beach' and whatnot, and it's helpful -- but nothing beats spending time outside near the water. Thanks everyone, I hoping to be up early and have a crack at it.
Those gillies squid jigs with a float and a very long leader are they designed to be dropped off boats?
I will be looking fortward to landing a few squid and thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Ah i have some jig spike but i will only be using 3.5 jig and 3.0 jigs. Do you think they might be a little heavy?Lightningx wrote:If you’re using a float and jig spike try putting a whole silver Whiting on it :thumbsup:

,8ft plus rod 2500 ish reel 8 pound braid. 15-20 lb leader....sunset sunrise....n night time in general lot better then day .... Offshore wind n clean water clarity, I don't worry about tide most times lb . Dinga have Yamashita jigs 3 for 30$ Also get a float n jig spike.... Bend at brighton produc...

Hi, At sunrise what colour jigs are better suited? So is tomorrows low tide still OK for the area? I have fished different times of the day and the white has always done a lot of damage for me. What I tend to do is just switch the colours till I hook one then just stick to that :) I have a white on...
