Agree with mingle tide runs hard and the weed build up will drive you nuts. I was down that way earlier in the week and the salmon were biting of the beach on the newhaven side adjacent to caravan park. Managed a nice feisty 56cm model on high tide. give it plenty time to drop and sit, too often people rip it away too soon before it has chance to grab it. If you get a touch and it drops it, release bail and let it fall back, squid often come back for repeated goes at it. Softest tip rod you own, that way it can draw it back to its mouth before ...

I have fished grantville from my kayak, it’s good stuff I’m actually moving down there next year, pretty interested in the yak fishing. How much time do you usually get out there without being caught dragging the yak through the mud? Something like 5 hours over a high, and you are out for 7+ hours ...

High tide only, and it's very narrow, only one angler can go off the end at anyone time. Its also high so if you catch a gummy you may have problems landing it
