Went out in a 2 seater kayak on the wimmera river with my mate and cousin, my cousin was the smallest so we told him to go on the back behind me (there wasn't exactly a lot of space either). I lent back for a stretch forgetting he was there, i'll let you guess where he ended up :rofl:

Hoppers are a great bait for trout at this time of year, you can use them unweighted and let them drift on the surface or with a small bubble float.. I'm new-ish to fly fishing and fished a small creek for brown trout today for the first time. I went from about 11am to 1.30pm (which i know are pretty poor times to fish for trout but it was the least windy at the time) and saw some trout and had a few follows but i reckon if i was there a few hour...

Stumpjumpers are one of the best aussie lures, yellow belly, cod and reddies (even know reddies aren't native :tongue: ) can all be caught on em'
