Decided I'd again try the Yarra this evening, this time at Yering.
Comfortable temperature, birds are sing, all in all a plesant evening.
Unfortunately the river is still a long way up and flowing fast.
Worms and corn for bait, and zero bites so far

Re: Bad season or bad forum?
Just went through Warrandyte and as expected with all this rain the Yarra is right up and dirty again.
So it will be at least a week....if the rain stops....before it starts dropping again.

Re: Bad season or bad forum?
Bad season for me - between the weather being all over the place and this rain that is keeping the Yarra flow high.
I have been out fewer times this year than the last few year.
Itching to get back on the river, consistently asap.

Re: GoFishVic App
I figured it out more last night - while fishing on the maribyrnong...for donuts again...sigh
It lets you select your location - although the maribyrnong is missing at this stage - from a list of options.
I guess that list will increase as it gets used and updates are made.

Re: Cornacarpio's Cumulative Carp Culling Caper
At least you are still catching - I have had two recent trips for donuts of late.
Eels can be fun when they are on the chew - if you get one there are normally more around
Hoping that 2020 starting will change my luck.

GoFishVic App
Has anyone else downloaded the GoFishVic App? I have had a play and can see it becoming reasonably useful as more data is entered and collected. I tried to add a trip (went last night, Yarra River, for donuts :( ) but after I hit the "start trip" button, nothing happens. Have chased them up for deta...

Nice footage - always to get an underwater perspective.
If you lower it on two ropes rather than one it will stablize it further.

Last night I would have been happy whatever bit, there was no specific target in mind.

Woori Yallock - 8th Dec
Finally got out and lines in the water. Went to Woori Yallock for a few hours yesterday evening. Weather and barometer were prefect ......the river flow however was less than prefect. There is still some serious water coming down the river and the flow is fast. That said it as surprisingly clear for...

Re: 26/11/19 Yarrambat Park Lake & Yarra River
Yarrambat was stocked again recently with rainbow trout - you may find that the scrub worms were a bit big for them and they were picking at them.
