Hero 5 is waterproof, touchscreen and better for shaky hands. Dont really use the other features but the touchscreen is really useful for a tech noob like me

Not bad for the price but like fishing gear, buy what you can afford. I've got a hero 5 and its a fair bit better than the 4 for only an extra $100 or so.

Trevally is by far my favourite sashimi fish. Haha ok I think I'll stick to deep fried. Used to crumb and pan fry and it's not bad either. Will stick to pelagics for sashimi

Anyone ever tried flathead raw? They always end up battered and fried for me but want to try something different. What's the texture/taste like?

The big jetty in front of the pub is pretty good, or all along the boardwalk on the way in, cast at the yacht club. Should get trevs, but less bream around in September from experience. Yep. gobbleguts are tiny and no taste. Not worth eating. The squid have moved out deeper lately.
