Re: GoPro hero 4

Hero 5 is waterproof, touchscreen and better for shaky hands. Dont really use the other features but the touchscreen is really useful for a tech noob like me

Re: GoPro hero 4

Not bad for the price but like fishing gear, buy what you can afford. I've got a hero 5 and its a fair bit better than the 4 for only an extra $100 or so.

Just saw Daiwa gen black rods for $89 starting tomorrow. Also anyone used the shimano nexave reels before? $70 might give one a go.

Re: Flathead sashimi

Haha ok I think I'll stick to deep fried. Used to crumb and pan fry and it's not bad either. Will stick to pelagics for sashimi

Flathead sashimi

Anyone ever tried flathead raw? They always end up battered and fried for me but want to try something different. What's the texture/taste like?

Re: Metung September

The big jetty in front of the pub is pretty good, or all along the boardwalk on the way in, cast at the yacht club. Should get trevs, but less bream around in September from experience. Maybe early flatties and whiting if water warms up more by then. Most productive in low light, midday is usually p...

Yep. gobbleguts are tiny and no taste. Not worth eating. The squid have moved out deeper lately.
