Re: Single Hook Lure?

Busted 45's are under $10 but they come with no hook, you need to buy hook separately and put it on yourself. Sea Iron Super Sprat is under $20, it casts a mile and comes with a single hook. A lot of knife jigs also come with singles, I have a couple from Compleat Angler but can't remember the brand...

Re: Species Competition 15/16

Did you bleed and gut it immediately the. Cut out all the bloodline before eating it the same day? If not have another go following that. Trust me. I didn't gut it .... when I caught it I immediately cut it's throat and stuck it head down in the sand .... then I filleted and cooked it within about ...

Re: Species Competition 15/16

It's not the best photo, so I'm happy to chop some cm's off if the judges deem it necessary. It's also the first - and probably last - aussie salmon I've brought home and tried to cook too. Now I'm burning every piece of incense and scented candle I can find, frantically trying to deodorize the hous...

Re: Planning to hit somewhere

I still like the humble 40g Halco Twisty with a 3/0 inline single in place of the treble, it's pretty much what I start most sessions with

I don't have a busted but I have a 45g Super Sprat which is very similar, casts a mile.

Re: Burley, is it worth the effort?

When fishing off a pier I sometimes use a 600mL soft drink bottle. Drill a hole in the lid, put a rope through the hole and tie a knot in it so you can screw the lid on and hang it in the water by the lid. Put a bunch of small stones in the bottom to weigh it down. Cut a couple of small holes in the...

Re: Planning to hit somewhere

Looking at the wind and tide forecasts, I'll probably be there Wednesday and Thursday evenings, in the last hour of daylight. Spinning of course.

Re: Forum Software upgrade tonight

Now we've got ads between posts? That kind of kills the flow of conversation. I know you need revenue where you can get it but it's a balancing act with advertising - packing more ads in brings in money in the short term but also makes the site less appealing. There is a tipping point where the pote...
