If you want to catch a good size fresh water crayfish though (much better pet I reckon) then use the 2 ring drop nets and head out to any fresh water creek/river in Gippsland and have a go. Well not much to show for it but I discovered I can freedive down to 6 meters without much hassle and search around a bit. Had to wait for the tide to slacken though.
