Re: Melb Boat Show vs 4x4 Fishing & Boating Expo
Can't help you with the boat show as I havnt been. But the 4x4, fishing and boating show didn't have that much good quality gear at a decent price. A lot of cheap Chinese gear trying to get flogged off. It was a few years ago when I went so no idea about these days.

Top report mate! Gotta love the dart! It's 1 of my favourite places. Plenty of good tucker there. Reef and beef special dart style! Did you see many animals while out for a hunt? No Macquarie perch?

Re: Hiring of fishing and camping gear
I'm with the others not the best idea. I can't see anyone hiring a game rod. Anyone who would use that would be either on a charter, or going with someone who has the gear already. But don't knock it till you try it. Might be not a bad little gig. Plus you could claim your personal fishing gear on t...

I never keep flatties under 30cm. They have a good survival rate and why take tiny ones. Had a Cpl of hour fishing out on the six mile yesterday for 6 pinkies all 34-38cm. Taking squid or fresh coota. Nice day flat calm. Love the Autumn and winter fishing. Typical pinky soft bites , need to give th...

No idea on location as I’m not even close to local.
But why the Fark wouldn’t you throw the port Jacksons back straight away instead of leaving them to flap around on the rocks in a net!

Re: Boat troubles - anyone want a deckie nxt 4 weeks?
No good about the boat mate. Safe to say you won’t get stitched up like that next time. Unfortunately you had to learn the hard way! Probably not much good to you being a long way away but if I’m heading off lakes Entrance I’d probably have a seat for you. Probly start chasing pinkies in a couple of...

I’m heading to Port Douglas in about a month. And plan on going on a charter. If it’s a decent charter I’ll let you no.
