There has never been travel distance restrictions, but with no overnight stays allowed, in a sense there has.
As long as you can get there and back in a day, it is fine.

You didn’t hear it, because it’s a state restriction not imposed by the PM but imposed by the premier of Vic.

Australians have proven again and again they can't be trusted. Look at the situation in NSW whenever they try to re open a beach with limited access.
