yeah not implying anything, it's just what popped into my head. For all we know he kept the lot but had two mates fishing with him on both days. Which is perfectly legal afaik

i was there on sat, picked up a salmon 33cm from just after the breakwall bends, lots of other bites during that time too but no hookups. very frustrating as one rod would go off, and as i was replacing the eaten bait on one, the other would go. Guys fish from the end, and all the way along the outs...

would a couple of fat rubber bands work instead of tape/mono? I ask because I've seen recently that some reels have rubber strips on the spool for straight braid

mate i was there from around 2 to 7. i probably could have reassembled my pilchards with needle and thread, they were that pristine. didn't see anyone else catch either.

bay was very calm and low tide. Should be better with the wind picking up now but i got hungry
