Re: Gunners report 14/06
Great stuff mate!
For braid to fluoro I always use an improved Albright knot. I've never had a slip or a break on lures or when soaking baits.

Re: Winter Boat Show - Jeff's Shed
Lots of bits and bobs for boat fitout which were semi reasonable in price but nothing overly special. I worked the Marine Safety Vic stand from 12-5 with no break and only had about a halfa afterwards to do some shopping. Still picked up a Daiwa Ballistic 4000 and a thrown in surf rod (Daiwa aird) s...

Re: Flinders Pier - 11 June 2015
Nah just pulled up, looked and left again. White corolla black t shirt. Surprised you got fish on such a low Yeah mate it was definitely quieter than usual, but I find around the boats on the left hand side of the pier you get trevs and frogs, which was pretty much what I was after. How did you go ...

Re: Flinders Pier - 11 June 2015
Nice trev they fight above their size I reckon when they get on their side Haha nude they certainly do! I wasn't fishing overly light around there purely because that place eats tackle so I usually use around 15 lb fluoro leader around 1.5 m. Also a fairly light lead so it drifts with current there...

Re: Flinders Pier - 11 June 2015
Yeah I've noticed that the frogs around WPB and down around rye etc are more of a light colour (southern blue spot) whereas the duskies are generally a darker brownfoggybottom wrote:That's a great looking flatty! I've never seen one with a pattern like that before.

Re: Flinders Pier - 11 June 2015
Nice report mate. Looks like good tucker to me :dinner: Being winter were the whiting too small? Thanks mate! No KGW only grassies, I generally don't keep them unless for bait when I take the boat out. I know some people that like them on the plate but not for me haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapa...
