i would steer clear of the whitleys they might ride soft but the fiberglass work is ok at best in the ones ive seen, have alook at a seafarer victory good offshore hull. might be able to pick up a stabi for that money, they bang abit but super safe, if i was spending 50+k i would be chasing somethin...

why dont you sell your little boat use that extra cash and get a slightly nicer 6m, can still fish the bays and esturays in it and than only 1 set of rego insurance and maintenance

no need mate and if anything could only cause more issues in future. most elec issues comes from joints or connections, as long as its fused either in line or preferably back at a stand alone fuse panel. so the less joins/ connections the better.

Auto switch if your planning on doing over nights in it. Helps you sleep easier knowing if something does leak bilge will work.
And just use fuses back at fuse panel not ones on switch plates just extra spots water can get in and cause trouble

if it was me i would be trying to run a second combo same brand as your sounder ie a simrad go. reason being if your sounder dies you can plug your transducer in and still a sounder for the day. same with maps if your plotter dies you can put map card into fish finder
