Hopefully going for a fish this weekend, just wanted to know if there was any good land based spots in melbourne that I should try. Thanks At the moment the only place I can recommend is Blairgowie pier for gars, they were there last week. Otherwise listen to the Pulse Fishing show on Sat or SEN 11...

And additional thought is how about trying some fishing charters, I have had much more luck on the charters out of WPB than the ones out of mornington or carrum.

Now I do not profess to be an expert.

However giving the reef off of olivers hill ago, or at black rock.

Remember the more fishing you do, the more fish you will catch.

At the moment I beleive the carpark at Black Rock.

You could also try the rocks at mount martha.

I had a great session on the pinkies off of frankston pier, but there isn't anything there at the moment.

hi people, we have been catching a lot of land based pinkies between 40-48cm(up to 2kg). My question is are these actually classified as Snapper or still pinkies? Trout can switch on or off with their feeding.

Fishing over rising ground, worms stand out, especially a type of scrub worm. Yabbies do well as do mudeyes.

Powerbait does work well.

One of my trips, we had a fruitless day trolling and on dark putting the boat back on the trailer, I decided to put out a bait. Well we ended up staying until the bite stopped around 11 that night. Another time fishing with a mate who had a slight tendency to exaggerate when he said he had hooked on...
