Re: Another good session in tannin waters...

Love the report and pictures , may have to head up into the streams before it gets to hot here and the snakes and fire danger take the fun from it :-)

Re: Another interesting fishing session

Adrian ,

Yeh I was happy that nothing serious came from the young ladies actions but it does make you sad realising that someone close to the gae of your own children can go through that sort of mental stress. Hopefully things improve for her in the future.

Another interesting fishing session

Had another session this evening which didn't start out the best with a young lady trying to drown herself. Not the best way to start a fishing session I can tell you. Got everything sorted with paramedics and police and thankfully she was Ok . After that I decided that I needed to make a move and t...

Some Fun with Pinkies

Had another enjoyable session down on the bay with my mate John. We were hoping to pick up a few fish around Port Melbourne but as John had gotten down earlier and not turned a reel we decided to head down the bay a little. As it proved a good decision as John was into a pan sized Pinky on the first...

Re: Pinkies at Range

Daz ,

The tripod was sourced from the UK quite a few years ago and if importing them you get stung with shipping cost , there is a guy on Facebook named Dale that sell a version here locally . Not sure what he charges but its reasonable.

Re: Pinkies at Range

Nooga27 , I have a number of outfits but generally running one of my Century rods mated to either Penn Squall 12 or 15 as well as a few different threadlines with the Ultegra XTB 5500 loaded with either braid or mono being ones that I currently run. Distances for me are no problem as I have been tea...

Re: Pinkies at Range

KeenAds ,

I am casting out to around the 130 meter mark and this is with my surf gear . If you are wanting to take your dad have a look at Station pier , if you have a disabled sticker for the car you can drive on it .

Pinkies at Range

Once again the weather gods whilst kind with the temperature didn't do us any favours with the wind direction with the bay being as flat as a billiard table . Still given that I am no longer working I wanted to make the most of it just unwinding and forgetting the bast 40 year of hard work. Fished a...
