I used to throw wrasse back also until I had it steamed at an Asian restaurant; never looked back, always a keeper now.

I got absolutely shredded at Queenscliff last weekend; it was a plague only a flamethrower could remedy. 50 stings in barely 5 attempted minutes of fishing; had to leave them biting. Drove back home an hour and a half before realising I had a can of Aeroguard in the car...

Dang; I'm a 2 minute walk away from Edwardes Lake, but never ever fished it. Have seen people pull out monster carp evert now and then. When they drained the lake about a decade ago, they removed tonnes of fish from there; remember mentions of catfish, trout and even Murray cod among the lot.
