might not be common, but i do see people just leave banjos and toadies on the pier.
saw 1 dude catch a toadie, rip the hook out of its mouth and slammed it back into the water. the toadie was dead of course.

do you guys think micro jigging off the beach will produce any salmon? no reason why it won't. Shiny + metal = salmon at gunnas if they are there. only issue you might have is throwing anything less than 30g and you'll get taken for a ride by the side current or swells. most of the guys spin with 4...
